The maori's culture
"Maori" is a word that we found in other Polynesian languages like "hawaiian" or the "Marquesas" (it's maoli), the "tahitian" (maohi) and Cook Islands (maori). They are all the same sense : this words distinguishe humans to gods and spirits. The first European visitors of New Zealand's islands, gave names for the people of this Islands like: Indian, aborigines, native or New Zealanders. Firstly, this people are designated under the term "Maori tangata", for eventually to keep "Maori".
